Volga Cruise

Day 1 :

Moscow

Begin the trip from Moscow. Get transfered to your stay adjacent to Bolshoi Theatre & Kremlin. Spend the rest of the day relaxing after a flight.

Day 2 :

Moscow

Explore Moscow’s main attractions, ranging from Armoury Chamber, Red Square and Kremlin. Take a ride on the iconic Moscow’s metro and explore the famous Tretyakov.

Day 3 :

Moscow

Meet your crew and fellow travellers at Captain’s welcome reception and supper.

Day 4 :

Uglich

After a fun filled & enticing cruise on the idyllic forested countryside, we head to see the ancient trading town of Uglich, a key point. Explore Church of St. Dmitri-on-the-Blood, erected on the site where Dmitri, son of Ivan the Terrible, was murdered in 1591. At St. John’s Church, attend an enchanting choral music concert.

Day 5 :

Yaroslavl

Explore one of the oldest cities of Russia – Yaroslavl. There is much to see: the Church of Elijah the Prophet, an impressive collection of mosaics along with the Spassky Monastery that houses the Transfiguration of the Savior. Attend a reception on nice residential spot before re-boarding cruise ship in time for afternoon meals.

Day 6 :

Yaroslavl – Nizhny Novgorod

A relaxing day of leisure as Volga cruise continues its gentle voyage along the picturesque Volga River. The Sun Deck gives an ever glowing view as the ship passes via countrysides, provincial towns, churches, and various monasteries. Watch a region that flourished for many centuries for its volume in trade along Volga.

Day 7 :

Nizhny Novgorod

Nizhny Novgorod has served as an exile for political prisoners. Visit elaborately painted churches. Attend a concert presented at Nizhny Novgorod.

Day 8 :

Kazan

Today, you can notice familiar Russian Orthodox Churches on the banks of the Volga. Even mosques that begin to appear as you sail through Republic of Tatarstan.

Explore Kazan, the capital of Tatarstan – showcasing wonderful Tatar culture. After, an ensemble for amazing everyone with a concert of traditional music.

Day 9 :

Samara

Relax on the Sun Deck as we sail past the Zhigulevskie mountains towards Samara. We begin with a city tour, which includes a visit towards the space museum. Later, wander along the Volga esplanade to the Samara State Art Museum.

Day 10 :

Saratov

Once home to a large German community, Saratov is better known for Yuri Gagarin, who lived and studied in Saratov. Our trip takes us to the Radishev State Art Museum.

Day 11 :

Volgograd

Earlier Volgograd was known as Stalingrad. We would visit the memorial hill, which saw the bloodiest fighting during world wars. Later, explore the Museum for Battle of Stalingrad.

Day 12 :

Astrakhan

The cruise ship arrives in the city of Astrakhan, known for its world famous Russian caviar. A centre of the fishing industry in western Russia from where the mighty Volga meets with the Caspian Sea.

Day 13 :

Astrakhan

The day begins with a tour of a fortress built during the reign of Ivan the Terrible. Explore the fortress by your own. After having your lunch, an optional guidance on the famed and much-coveted black caviar with private tasting of this precious delicacy.

Day 14 :

Cruise ends on this day

Here our cruise finishes. Get transferred to the airport for a flight-
