The very next year, the Marathas regained the fort and on 1713, Shahu Maharaj himself transferred Rajmachi fort under the command of Kanhoji Angre. And, with the advent of Britishers in 1818, the Marathas eventually lost control of their territories along with Rajmachi Fort.
