Pilgrimage to Vaishno Devi

Vaishno Devi, also known as Mata Rani, Trikuta and Vaishnavi, is a manifestation of three goddesses. At Mata Vaishno Devi Cave, the goddess is in the form of a 5.5 feet rock structure which has three heads or Pindies, revered sacred.

While performing pilgrimage to Vaishno Devi, devotees make certain offerings ranging from Red – Chunri, Saree, Dry Fruits, Silver or Gold ornaments with flowers

A 13 km trek from Katra town of Jammu District leads to the pilgrimage site where Trikuta manifests herself in the form of a natural rock, regarded as Holy Pindies that is present on the sanctum sanctorum. A natural tunnel for devotees to visit the sanctum sanctorum was there on this holy site, however, because of its narrow path, two new tunnels were built that helps to ease the movement of pilgrims towards Holy Pindies.
