Tea Tourism

Tea tourism includes a vacation at a place with a view to mountains, enjoying nice retreat by a river, birding, angling & trek. Participating in tea tasting & manufacturing is a option along with old historical sites.

There are activities in the frontiers at India where Tea Estates of Assam, Tripura, Meghalaya offer warm hospitality.

Visitors can see the wildlife that surrounds the region while witnessing several regional festivals. There are various tribes in these states, thus communities in these places display century old culture.

The region comprises more than Seven Hundred tea gardens producing nearly 1/5 of the total tea production inside India. Tea estates are:

  • Mon of Nagaland
  • Ri-Bhoi of Meghalaya
  • East Khasi Hills of Meghalaya
  • Melaghar and Unakoti of Tripura

Districts like Dibrugarh, Tinsukia and Jorhat in Assam have various Bungalows.
