Underwater sites – Bali : Indonesia

Jemeluk Beach has a site that contains a postbox that is underwater & operated through Indonesian Post Company. They actually inaugurated the first underwater mailbox in Indonesia. Statues of Nusa Dua

The statues of woman dancing graciously can be seen in this spot. The statues located in Nusa Dua Bali are actually the act of coral conservation by Nusa Dua Reef Foundation. They aim to conserve the corals ecosystem by planting these statues. Beside conserving the corals, they try to protect the endangered species of the Kimsa clams. Many hunt them down for its high economic value.

The Crystal Bay of Nusa Penida

Nusa Penida have something interesting in the Crystal Bay area, you can go inside the dark cave which is actually the entrance of a Bat Nest. The exterior seems like a usual Balinese temple. The walk may be a little bit challenging though, you can add some friends if you’re scared. It will be dark all the way to the cave, so you’ll need things like oxygen support and flashlight. The cave is actually a connector between the sea and the bat cave. So, there will be some steep ways you need to take.

Statues and Tulamben Shipwreck site

The statues are located right in front of the Matahari Tulamben Resort which was built for tourists to showcase their unique diving spot. There is a statue of Buddha and Tara. At a walking distance from the temple, a giant shipwreck of sunken USAT Liberty Glo – a ship, built in the year 1918, that served American soldiers of 2nd World War. The ship sunken by Imperial Japanese submarines. The ship rests there and currently serves as a tourist spot. Another note is that you should be careful while exploring the memorable shipwreck.

Pemuteran

This temple really made people more curious about its location which is 30 m below sea level. The temple was once located exactly in the seaside of Pemuteran. The place is actually a well-known diving spot now, also known as Taman Pura. Divers can reach the spectacular underwater temple site.
