Masikryong Ski Resort
The Masikryong Ski resort is located near the east coast of the DPRK, about 15 mile away from Wonsan city. It takes around 3 and a half hours to drive there from Pyongyang. Build within a period of just 10 months by Korean People’s Army, it offers a perfect as well as a luxurious ski resort of North Korea.
This ski resort offers more than 9 slopes and 4 different levels ranging from beginners to proficient. The highest point is Taehwa Peak. The snowfalls happens during mid-December until February.
Masikryong is functional all year round. If you would rather stay at the Hotels in Wonsan like Dongmyong or the Songdowon, that can be arranged too while you have the option to go for a hike and enjoy views in every season.
