Kaziranga Elephant Festival

Celebrated for awareness about the conservation of Asiatic elephants. The Forest Department of Assam, with Department of Tourism, arranges this festival as a measure to control man-animal conflict.

In this festival, elephants are decked for participating in events. Folk dances, parade & football competition also happens. It occurs at February for advocating conservation of wild animals with ecotourism.

Brahmaputra Beach Fair and Festival

Brahmaputra river is the lifeline of Assam. Rowing Association and the Assam Tourism Development Corporation organises a beach fair and festival in the shores of River Brahmaputra.

It coincides with Magh Bihu. The aim behind the celebration is to promote the indigenous cultures within the land of Assam for the culture aficionados.

Amidst the bright festivities, plethora of regional sports, like boat racing, beach cricket, & volleyball in beach with adventure sports are there to witness. Apart from sports, many cultural programs, arts and Assamese craft items are at exhibitions. Competitions ranging from simple kite flying with drawing, or activities that are usually liked by kids, can be seen on this festival.
