The Amer Fort is just outside Jaipur, an ancestor of Jaipur, till Sawai Jai Singh decided to create a planned city, With all fortified areas of the region, an UNESCO World Heritage site, Kumbhalgarh, Chittorgarh, Ranthambore, Jaisalmer & Fort Gagron are some of areas to discover.

Amer Fort stands at Cheelon ka Teela – a hillock where eagles live. It was first built by the Meenas who are now classified as tribals way back in 10th CE. However, fortune changed when Raja Man Singh built a formidable fort 17th CE. Raja Jai Singh further developed Amer Fort – a planned city of India. Today, Amer is a small town with around 365 temples. Well, you can see tall spires of many temples when you are at the fort. It has world’s third longest wall going around it after Kumbhalgarh & Great Wall of China.
