In contrast, the New Delhi is covered with tree-lined avenues & quite spacious.

Delhi served as the seat of power for several empires for about a millennium. It was built & destroyed several times. A fascinating fact is that many rulers played a dual role in Delhi as they first came as destroyers, then settled or contributed for rebuilding this ancient node.
