Barak Valley – Haflong

Barak Valley –

An unspoiled and picturesque region of Assam, Barak Valley is a wonderful, offbeat spot which consists Cachar, Hailakandi, and Karimganj district. The name is derived from the Barak River, which flows through the valley. Barak valley is filled with forests, tea gardens & waterfalls.

The tea gardens of this region produce more than 50 million kg of CTC variety tea in a year. Adventure enthusiasts hike for Nil Mandir Cave where there is a shrine of Siva.

Haflong –

Haflong is a quaint town considered the only hill station inside Assam, nice for weekend getaway. Although this was named by Britishers, it’s often called the White Ant Hillock. Tourists who explore Haflong will definately get awed through its beautiful landscape & greenery around.
