Kathmandu Tour Package

Kathmandu tour package deals with a short holiday trip to the capital of Nepal. Kathmandu is known as a city of temples, culture and heritage. Seven UNESCO listed world heritage sites are in Kathmandu valley.

Lalitpur (Patan), Kathmandu, and Bhaktapur are the three major cities of Kathmandu valley. Besides that, Nagarkot, Dhulikhel, Namobuddha, Kirtipur, Shivapuri National Park, Panauti and Chandragiri are the major tourist places in Kathmandu valley.

Day 1 :

Arrival in Kathmandu

Our representative will meet and greet you at Tribhuvan Internatinal Airport and arrange your transfer to your hotel. Hotel check is 12:00 PM, as per the availability we will ask the hotel for early check in, if required.

At. 06:00 PM: We will give a short briefing about your tour program. If you are arriving late (after 4PM) then we will have a briefing next morning at 9:00AM. If there is any payment due, then it will be collected/transferred during the briefing time.

Day 2 :

Kathmandu Sightseeing

At. 10:00 AM: After your breakfast at the hotel, you will visit for a full-day sightseeing of Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa, Swayambhunath and Kathmandu Durbar Square.

Available Optional Activity: Everest Mountain Flight

Pashupatinath temple is the largest and holiest shrines for Hindus. Pashupatinath is situated on the bank of Bagmati river that was built in the 5th CE. There are around 492 temples, 15 Shivalayas (shrines of Lord Shiva) and 12 Jyotirlinga (phallic shrines) to explore in Kathmandu. No entrance fee is charged for SAARC nationals to enter the temple. Although only Hindus are allowed to enter the temple, visitors can clearly see the temple and the activities performed in the temple complex from the eastern bank of the Bagmati river.

Boudhanath is one of the largest stupas in South Asia. It is the center hub of Buddhism in Nepal which is surrounded by hundreds of monasteries. Lichchavi rulers renovated the temples during 8th century, which is in the shape of a Mandala.

Swayambhunath is one of the most glorious, holiest and oldest Stupa of the world. It is located on a small hillock in west Kathmandu, hence commands an excellent view of the valley. The stupa was built in 460 A.D. by King Manadeva, also known by the name “Monkey Temple”.

Kathmandu Durbar Square is one of the three Durbar Squares of Kathmandu Valley. The Malla king Pratap Malla erected the statue of Hanuman (the Hindu God of power) in this place and it was named Hanuman Dhoka. Taleju Temple, Tribhuvan Museum, the house of Kumari (Living Goddess), Kasthamandap, the temple of Kal Bhairav along with few other temples are some places to explore.

Day 3 :

Bhaktapur and Patan Sightseeing

At. 10:00 AM: After your breakfast, visit Bhaktapur Durbar Square and Patan Durbar Square. In the evening you will have some free time to do shopping around the Thamel tourist area.

Bhaktapur Durbar Square which is also known as Bhadgaon has 4 major squares: Durbar Square, Taumadhi Square, Dattatreya Square and Pottery Square. Some of the major attractions are Lu Dhoka (The Golden Gate)” which is said to be the most beautiful and richly molded specimen of its kind. The Palace has 55 windows and Dattatraye Temple along with some other small temples.

Patan Durbar Square is 5 km southeast of Kathmandu. Major temples are Krishna Temple, Taleju Temple and Bhimsen Temple. Some places to explore there are Patan Museum, Mahaboudha, Kumbeshwor, Keshave Naryan, Vishwanath and Chyasin Dewal and Sundari Chowk.

Day 4 :

Departure (Transfer to Airport)

You will be free till your flight time. We will transfer you to the Kathmandu airport 3 hour before in time to board your outbound flight (30 mins drive).
