Punjab – Himachal 6 Days Trip

Itinerary –

Shimla-Chandigarh-Amritsar

6 Days Trip

Day 1 :

Delhi

On the first day of your arrival at Delhi Airport/Railway Station, you will be transferred to your stay. Delhi bridges two different worlds, the New Delhi and the Old Delhi, which was once the capital of many rulers and emperors of the subcontinent. A labyrinth of crumbling havelis and formidable temples and mosques. In contrast, the New Delhi was created by the Britishers with spacious tree-lined avenues.

Delhi served as the seat of power for several empires for about a millennium. It was built & destroyed several times. A fascinating fact is that many rulers played a dual role in Delhi as they first came as destroyers, later they settled and made contributions to rebuild it.

If time permits, you can do a half day sightseeing of Old Delhi.

Day 2 :

Delhi-Shimla

Transfer to Shimla will take around 7 Hours. The British empire may have ceased to exist, but its echo still lingers in and around Shimla, a vacation destination at an elevation of 2205 m. It was once the favoured Summer Capital of the Britishers.

Visit Kufri which is at 2501 m above the sea surface. Shimla is quite famous for its wide views and ski slopes. Walk towards the Mahasu Peak & Jakhoo Hill, at 2455 m; Shimla’s highest peak and a famous point for its views. The summit is crowned with a temple dedicated to Hanuman.

  • Visit the ridge which is a large space in the heart of Shimla that provides excellent views of the mountain ranges.
  • Shimla’s landmarks – the neo- gothic structure of Christ Church and the neo – Tudor library building – are worth a visit.
